Mechanic Vacancy

Duties and Responsibilities

• Full service, repair and maintenance of PCV vehicles and coaches.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects on all vehicles.
• PCV pre MOT preparation and inspections.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.
• Responsible for on call cover.
• Duties may be modified from time to time to suit the needs of the business.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

• The successful candidate must hold an industry-recognised qualification in mechanics such as a diploma in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Heavy Vehicles).
• Hold a PCV or HGV driving licence or be willing to gain one. If required, we would fund this training.
• Must be a team player and possess good communication skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of current DVSA legislation would be advantageous, but it is not essential.
• A history of working with PCV's would also be an advantage, but not essential.

Candidate must be willing to undertake ongoing training, including attending courses etc. You will be introduced to the company and all company/depot systems, procedures and policies will be demonstrated.
